Captivation

When I watched the movie "Captivated," I was amazed how bad today's media and technology can be. Did you know that people actually spend more time watching TV than going to the bathroom? I was very moved by how people not only push the limits of media use, but actally ruin their minds and imaginations. Now I'm sure that I know why my mom and dad limit my TV use, why we don't have cable, and why we don't have any video games or stuff like that. I hope everyone who watches "Captivated" is moved and touched like I was.

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii-Yaa!

I am very excited, because I am going to a karate camp at the YMCA. When my mom told me about it, the camp sparked my interest, because I have always wanted to do karate. I am also excited because my brother and my friend Darryl are coming, too. The camp is July 9th through the 13th. It is going to have scripture from the Bible, which makes the camp Christian-Friendly. I can't wait to go to Karate camp and have fun!

Think, write, and think again

Have you ever tried to go to sleep, but ended up thinking about a lot of things? That's what happened to me a lot. I would go to bed, and 30 or 40 minutes later, I would still be awake, just thinking. I would take a pill  to help me sleep, but with no luck. So I asked my mom to help me find a solution, and she said," Maybe you could try writing down your thoughts." So I started to write down my thoughts, and now I don't need to write them down anymore, because I don't have as many thoughts in my head when I sleep.

God still sees us

Last Thursday, Blaise, Dad, and I were going to The Salvation Army to drop off some old mattresses. But we had a problem. In the van, we had to stow away the back and middle row seats so we could put the mattresses in the van. That left just the two front seats. Dad sat in the driver's seat. Blaise sat in the passenger's seat, and I laid down in the back, squished by the mattresses. I was reminded that God still saw me, even though I was hidden by mattresses and shaded windows. Luckily, we didn't get caught and arrived safely. My lesson learned that day was that God sees us no matter what.
